Frequently Asked Dental Questions – Falmouth, ME
Your Opportunity to Learn More About Dentistry
If you’re looking to improve the health of your smile, there’s a good chance you have questions. At Falmouth Dentistry, we aim to educate you so that you can better understand the reasons why we recommend certain treatment options and why good oral health and hygiene are important. As you consider the type of questions you want to ask during your initial visit, we encourage you to review the following information, as our team of experts has already provided the answers to some of the most common questions we’ve received from patients.
Can my child receive dental care at Falmouth Dentistry?
Yes! You are welcome to bring your little one to our office to receive the same high-quality dental care that you enjoy. Dr. Chadbourne and our team will maintain a patient- and comfort-focused approach as we evaluate your child’s smile and offer suggestions to improve and maintain healthy teeth and gums in between appointments.
I have a dental emergency. What should I do?
The first step is to stay calm and call our office. A member of our team will evaluate the severity of your issue and begin to schedule an appointment so that you can come in and receive timely care. We will examine your teeth and gums to pinpoint the problem and create a treatment plan that matches your needs, desires, and budget. Once we are cleared to move forward, we’ll work to give your smile the treatment it deserves.
What can you do about my gummy smile?
We are pleased to have a soft tissue laser (Gemini) that is capable of removing excess gum tissue from around teeth so that you no longer have to live with a “gummy smile.” Instead, you can enjoy an evenly balanced appearance that showcases more of your teeth. And with the use of our laser, we can reduce the chance of post-operative infection while also minimizing any bleeding and swelling.
What kind of tooth replacement options do you offer?
At Falmouth Dentistry, we’re pleased to provide our patients with top-of-the-line tooth replacement solutions. While dental bridges and traditional dentures are highly effective, we strongly encourage the use of dental implants simply because of their longevity and durability. Their placement within the jawbone allows for stimulation that leads to more youthful appearances as well as the opportunity to eat the foods you love without worrying about your artificial teeth falling out.
Will you accept my dental insurance?
Yes, we are pleased to be in-network with Northeast Delta Dental Premier but also welcome other insurances, as our team will be happy to file any claims and necessary paperwork. This reduces the stress commonly associated with dental payments and instead allows you to focus more on your oral health and future smile.
